#10 Alligator Adventure Marsh Walk.
Just on the right, inside the North entrance to Barefoot Landing. Nice boardwalk through the marsh and photo opportunities abound behind the House of Blues.

#9 Summer Concert Series at McLean Park - 2008
Oak Drive and 2nd Avenue North Myrtle Beach. Enjoy an evening with your family and friends listening to free live music, picnicking and playing in this safe and fun environment. Each concert will feature a different band playing family friendly music. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, food and non-alcoholic beverages.

#8 South Carolina Hall of Fame
Located in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. South Carolina was the birthplace of Andrew Jackson, seventh president of the United States, the great musician Dizzy Gillespie and Strom Thurmond, the longest serving senator in the history of the United States. Learn more about those notorious South Carolinians that rose to greatness by visiting the Hall of Fame.

#6 Vereen Memorial Park and Gardens
(off Rt. 17 and Rt. 179) in Little River, SC, just North of North Myrtle Beach. this park features pathways and wooden boardwalks that extend across several beautiful salt marshes and small islands, with a gazebo overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway with the Little River waterfront in the distance. A wide observation deck extends into the waterway. The view is great and the cost is free.

#5 Warbird Park

Right on Farrow Parkway just west of Highway 17 (S. Ocean Blvd becomes Farrow upon crossing 17). On display are an A-10 Thunderbolt, an A-7 Corsair II and an F-100 Super Sabre. These planes were stationed at the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and given to the city when the base closed in 1993. The 4.6-acre park includes landscaping, benches and a trail overlooking the runway at Myrtle Beach International Airport. “Dedicated to the men and women of the United States Air Force and their families who lived in our community for almost 40 years (1954-1993) while they served our country and courageously defended our freedom.”

#4 Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk
Be sure to visit at high tide. A boardwalk gives a unique view of the waterfront including fishing boats, sculpture and life in this picturesque seaside community.

#3 Summer Fireworks Display.
Barefoot Landing, every Monday Night 10:15, June thru August.

#2 Visits to Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing
are a must! Wonderful sights and sounds and usually some type of strolling entertainment.

Not only for sunbathing, but made for discovery! Their are beautiful shells, sharks teeth, driftwood and other things to be found. Kites to be flown. Metal detectors are also allowed.
