R2- HOME PLATE 1913 Mr. Joe White Ave Mrytle Beach, SC 29577 (843) 626-9435
If you
don' t get filled up at the Home Plate you never will! This is a pretty
decent pizza buffet with serve yourself
spaghetti and make your own sub
sandwiches on the side! They will often
ask you what kind of pizza you like when
you enter and they will introduce it to
the buffet table. Choc chip pizza? You bet,
along with all the other normally topped
pizzas. The spaghetti sauce choices are
quite good though the spaghetti is
overcooked sometimes. Worth a visit. The
young people will love it. We have made
the stop a must-do every year. A big part of
the Home Plate experience is meeting Isaac! Isaac has turned busing tables into an art
form. Look for the man with the big smile, fast moves
and cheerful song!.
R3- GOLDEN CORRAL 868 Oak Forest Lane (Hwy 501) Myrtle Beach, SC 29579 (843) 626-2300
The
Golden Corral is probably the best value
for your money. One price and you can sample many types
of food items on the
buffet assortment that is so long and
varied that you will work up an appetite
going from one end to the other trying to
decide what to try. From steak to roast
beef and Mexican dishes, to pasta and
salads. Its all here. Save room for the
freshest dessert arrangement you will
have a difficult time making decisions
about.
R4- ORIGINAL BENJAMIN'S
(Restaurant Row) 9693 North Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 (843) 449-0821
This
is one of the more expensive buffets in
the area BUT if you want the very best
selection, prepared in the traditional
Calabash style, and are willing to pay a
bit more, you won't be disappointed.
"We enjoyed Captain Nance's Seafood Restaurant in
Calabash, NC. We went on one of the Dolphin
Adventure cruises that docks nearby. Afterwards we
decided to try out Captain Nance's. It was still lunch
time and their special was your choice of one or two of
the following: fish (which was Flounder that day),
shrimp, deviled crab and one other that I can't remember
right now. The price was only $5.95. My husband and I
both got the fish and shrimp with French fries. Also,
the server brought a basket of hush puppies to our
table. We were seated at a table that faced the
waterfront of the Intracoastal Waterway where the boats
docked. We both felt this was the best fish or shrimp
we have ever tasted. We live in Indiana so we really
don't get much of a chance for real fresh seafood like
this. It was an excellent value for the money. Their
regular menu dinners were a little pricier though. I
would recommend this restaurant to everyone."

Springhouse Restaurant (across from Alligator

some great platter specials at $5. The food is
prepared well. The staff always has a warm smile
to greet you and you will find that many of the
window tables have a fine view of the marsh lands
out back.

priced combo platters. The staff is always
cheerful and attentive.
R8- NEW CHINA 120 ITEM
BUFFET 1700 Highway 17 N, Surfside Beach, SC 29575 (843) 828-1111
New China
Buffet is our favorite in Myrtle Beach. Don't
confuse it with the several others, this one is
located in Surfside on 17 and does surpass the
others. The place is clean, the seating is ample
and the variety is hard to beat for the price (especially
if you take advantage of the Early Bird special.
It' s a good selection of seafood, Chinese and
American fare.
R9-
RIVER CITY CAFE 404 21st Ave North Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 (843) 448-1990 Picture a cozy restaurant with small tables,
memorabilia from every State covering the walls
and ceiling, a bowl of peanuts that you crack,
eat and throw the shells on the floor while you
wait for maybe one of the best burger platters
you have ever had. Great fun and good food too.
R10- GIANT CRAB (Restaurant Row) 9597 North Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 (843) 449-1097 The Giant Crab has an outstanding Sunday morning
buffet that is among the best on the beach. Look
