This site centers around our  maps. We found that getting around Myrtle Beach was fairly easy but there wasn't a really a good map that was easy to use that gave us all of the info we wanted so we designed our own. Though not to scale, they are very accurate as a guide to help you find your way to some of the places we have personally checked out for the best values for your money.

How to Avoid the
Myrtle Beach
U.S. 501 into town is always congested. For North Myrtle Beach take 22 off 501 just East of Florence. 22 ends at Hwy 17 on the South end of North Myrtle Beach. For points South of MB  (Surfside Beach, Garden City, Murrells Inlet or Pawleys Island) take 22 to 31. 31 runs parallel to 17 Bypass; North on 31 goes to US 9 near Little River and South ends at 544. Then, East on 544 takes you into Surfside Beach. No stoplights on 31 makes it a real zip! We also suggest the Robert Grissom Parkway as a road around town less traveled. It runs from the Airport past the Pelicans Baseball Stadium and Broadway at the Beach.
Remember if you are traveling by rv or motorhome there are rv parks and campgrounds to suit you.
